Hi, I’m Chris Wilson.
I’m a servant of Jesus who is a teacher of English as a Foreign Language in Badajoz, Spain.
In my spare time I like to play musical instruments, drink coffee and write on one of my various blogs (something I’ve been doing on and off since 2004).
What you can expect
I typically blog about twice a week and focus on Christianity, in particular Discipleship, Hospitality and Creativity. Most of my blog posts fit within these topics though I do also include pictures from my travels and updates from my journey.

Biography
I was born in the sunny suburbs of London in 1986 where I spent all my childhood years. New Malden has one famous statistic about itself, it has the largest Korean population in the UK. My parents brought me up in a Christian household but it wasn’t until I was 15 that I took hold of my own faith.
When I was 18 I moved to Leeds for a year where I worked as a youthworker in Christ Church Upper Armley. It was my first time living away from home, full of challenges but very character building. I learnt a lot about faith, life and helping people and it set me on my way for the rest of my life.
After that I went to the University of Leicester in 2005 to Study politics. During this time I was helped out with the University Christian Union and discovered my interest in things Russian. I took a module in Russian Politics and started to learn Russian, I wasn’t very studious but I still started my interest.
After university I returned to New Malden and eventually picked up a boring office job whilst helping with my local church and getting involved with The Well. After a year of non progress I looked for a change. At that time God guided me to completing a CELTA course and travelling to Dnepropetrovsk in Ukraine to Teaching English. I spent two years there.
It was an incredible time of teaching Adults, Business men from the largest Pipe company in Europe, eating Borsch, learning to cook Ukrainian Dumplings, meeting amazing people, Visiting Orphanages, standing on Frozen over lakes, Surviving -28C winters and +40C summers, appearing on Local TV and making great friends. I will always have a spot in my heart for Ukraine.
But after two years it was time to move and around the same time I came back in contact with my old Friend Andrew Brims. He was looking for someone to join his teaching business out in Spain. Knowing Andrew’s great wisdom and insight into both Business and Christianity. At the end of the summer of 2012 I moved out to Badajoz Spain to join Andrew at Badajoz English.
