Cal Newport’s latest book “Deep Work” sets out the premise that in our work, “Deep Work” (Focused Work on a single task over an extended period of time) is becoming increasingly valuable and increasingly rare and hard to carry out. That makes it a goldmine. I’ve finished the book and really recommend it, the photographic implications might be to
- avoid distractions while editing
- edit a bunch of photos at the same time
- plan fixed time to shoot and edit which is uninterrupted
- avoid distractions when you are out on the street
- turn your smartphone off more.
I really recommend the book.
